Blida, Lebanon – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed today that it carried out a targeted drone strike in southern Lebanon, killing a high-ranking Hezbollah commander. The operation, which took place in the town of Blida, successfully neutralized Ali Ibar al-Nabi Khadi, deputy commander of Hezbollah’s forces in the Mhaibib sector.
Khadi was a key figure in Hezbollah’s Mhaibib operations, overseeing rocket and anti-tank missile attacks on Israeli communities.
The strike marks the latest in a series of targeted assassinations of Hezbollah commanders by Israel.
Tensions remain high along the Israel-Lebanon border, with near-daily exchanges of fire since October 2023.
IDF Spokesperson: "This operation eliminates an imminent threat to Israeli civilians. We will continue to defend our borders."
